Allows you to turn your preliminary design work into professional
photorealistic visualisations to present in a clear and universal format that everyone
can understand.
I've worked from 'back of napkin' sketches, architectural blueprints, right through to fully integrated CAD systems, such as CATIA, SolidWorks and Inventor. 3D visualisation works where single image CAD renders or photography can't.

Uses state-of-the-art animation software to produce motion graphics of
designs and 3D data, which allow full exploration of 3D models. They create huge visual impact
and understanding. Photography can't always show the whole picture, or the motion may be too
intricate to show in static imagery.
My mechanical design background allows me to easily understand and visualise complex motion. Using clever animation 'rigs' models are designed as realistically as possible, so they can be both triggered by both traditional methods and software expressions. From the flight control linkages of a Lynx helicopter through, to a cutaway of the Euro-fighter's Mauser BK-27 mini-gun firing cycle, over the years we have been asked to undertake a wide variety of interesting and challenging work.
A misconception about 3D animation is that it's expensive to produce. While modelling and setting the up the scene are usually the most time-consuming part of the job, a simple animation (such as a camera sweep) can work out to be only a small percentage to the overall cost. Providing there is time allowed for the production of the animation (as it usually requires lengthy processing times) it would always be worthwhile to consider the value this adds to a project or presentation.

Uses both visualisation and solid
modelling CAD packages VISUALS-3D can produce most types of model to suit your desired
use from a full engineering solid CAD model for CNC or rapid prototyping, 3D poly-mesh asset
for an animation or design scheme, right through to a low-poly rigged model for a game /
virtual reality engine.
My product design background enables my to make a significant contribution to

With the rapid development of VR systems and computer hardware, the
time for real-time 3D is really coming of age. Having been involved with this technology for
over 20 years, I have always looked for the best VR engines to develop for. I have experienced
their limitations, frustrations and learnt the hard way of how to optimise their capability.
Thankfully production of real-time solutions has become easier, cheaper, and has more impact.
This frees up time working through the limitations enabling more time to deliver worthwhile
content. Using Unity 3D has led me to delve into the vast world of scripting and programming,
which has opened up endless possibilities to the way 3D animation is delivered.
